fireworks n stuff

yeah havent been updating cuz i keep forgetting or dont have time

ANYWAY

last friday after school went to burger king with my friends cuz the black burger is BACK!

and i really wanted to try it!!

heres what it looks like

black bun, cheese, and sauce

there was some potato thing in it. it was OK. worth the almost $10 for the set? ehhh prob not but its just a one time try it out thing so i guess its ok. i liked the red burger cuz to me it had more flavor. this was kinda bland for my liking.

afterwards me n my friends went to animate cuz my friend wanted to buy stuff and there was some event thing going on promoting some otome game maybe??? idk i have no idea what this is but you were allowed to take pics so i did lol

theres like 5 groups of 4 guys to choose i guess but these were the hottest in my opinion

lots of girls were taking pics of like everything but mehhhh

i dont even remember what the title is called whatever

just showing whoever else reads this stuff

and theres an area to write messages to the characters or something lol

and afterwards went to book off n arcade yadda yadda

next day went to see fireworks with my uncle and cousin!

this is the first and prob last fireworks festival i'll see this summer but im glad i got to go cuz ive really wanted to go to one but all the others were pretty far away and get really crowded but this place was only like 20 minutes from home and we got there early before its too crowded

the fireworks start at like 7 but we got there maybe 3:40 or something and we sat on a hill

i went to walk around the food stalls and bought shaved ice cuz it was hot

and then i found candy apples cuz i see that in anime alot n wanted to try it!!!

 but i was kinda disappointed. i thought the red stuff would be like jolly ranchers or something but its just dyed plain sugar so after sucking on that for like an hour it was too sweet n im like blegh

shouldve bought the chocolate covered banana instead oh well

after waiting forever the fireworks finally started!! and it was so close! i barely need to zoom in at all! back home when i see 4th of july i watch it far cuz the place it happens gets toopacked so im used to see tiny fireworks but these were HUGE

the opening fireworks. shouldve made the video longer cuz cooler stuff happened after i cut it off

this is by far the best fireworks show ive seen in my life

and whats cool is to our right is the show we are watching, but to the left another fireworks show was happening but farther away so we can see 2 shows at once!!!

heres the finale but i was zooming in to see the the show but then ours started happening all this cool stuff but once i start recording i cant zoom out so you cant see everything that happened which is a shame it was soooo cooolll!!!

oh and i ate yakisoba during the show but afterwards my uncle wanted to eat ramen but i was still full so i just went home

anyways next day did my nails. i wanted red and tried doing that negative space thing i think it turned out pretty cool

got lots of compliments ;)

took like 2 1/3 hours though

but anyways one of my friends at my house is moving back to her country this weekend so i was like want me to do ur nails? n shes like yyyyeeeessssss

kinda sad though cuz ive known her since like the 3rd day i moved in n i still dont know her name LOL like shes told me but its unusual like i have never heard it before so when i refer to her to ppl i just say norway girl lol

but yeah she really likes fire emblem so i gave her fire emblem nails!

kinda hard cuz i dont know the first thing about this game but we were able to make a nice concept

and yesterday i hung out with her after skool cuz she also goes to skool in shibuya just a different school. like 90% of the non japanese that live at my house to go that other school so theyre all friends n im just like hi.

but yeah it was really interesting....

first of all ive been feeling kinda down these past few days cuz im getting homesick. like i dont really miss my family or friends that much(lol) but its the FOOD that i NEED. like im having withdrawls n stuff i NEED COOKIES and stuff cuz yeah they have sweets n junkfood here but its SO EXPENSIVE for just a TINY amount it really pisses me off cuz 10 cookies here is like $2 n they are all individually wrapped n stuff but you can buy like 4x that in america for the same price

and yesterday idk i was just REALLY depressed in the morning like i didnt feel like doing anything and felt sad and i was reading stuff on the train about dealing with being homesick and i almost started crying so i stopped.

but once i met my friend i forgot all my troubles uvu

we ate a yoshinoya n next to her there was this weird guy like he was wasted. talking to himself n stuff. and he was like sorta trying to talk to us now n then. and she ordered these beans i forgot the english name for it but its green kinda looks like peas but she was eating it with chop sticks n thhe guy is like NOOO HAND ONLY! and he takes some of her food n eats it to show her how LOL omg i was like wtf. and she didnt really want to eat with her hands but she did anyways. and then like 5 minutes before we left i notice a cell phone that was like RECORDING her on some streaming site or something holy craaappp i was gonna be like 'is that ur phone?' but idk i was like trying not to laugh cuz its so WEIRD and CREEPY!! like he wasnt even being sneaky about it. he wasnt hiding the phone or anything it was placed right on the table facing her for her to see. but yeh that guy was out of it

when we left im like that guy was drunk and asked her if she noticed the recording n shes like yeah but whatever LOL

then we went to the arcade n im like yeah theres always this guy on the DDR machine but when we went HE WASNT THERE FOR ONCE OMG!!! so i FINALLYYYYYYYY got to place DDR after all this time!!!!  they had a song i like but i forgot which difficult i can do cuz its a hard song so i put in easy but im like nooo it was suppose to be basic but whatever hopefully next time hes not there again. but yeah playing that made my day

and then we went home but its during the REAL rush hour which is like 6:30ish so im like idk if we should take the express. and when the train came it was PACKED and she walks towards it n im like i think we should wait for the next train but she grabs my arm n pulls me n im squished cuz it was SOO CROWDED!! so we're like giggling n im like we're getting off the next stop but there was this pretty cute boy that was squished near me instead of the usual gross old guy. and he was like touching my leg n im like whut but i guess he was trying to grab his bag on the floor and he even said sorry. but yeah he was doing that anime arm thing theres a word for it but i forgot. when the guy puts his arm on the wall and the girl is in between? yeah he was doing that to me. but my face was like in his armpit but he didnt stink so thats good but yeah once the train started shaking n stuff he grabs the handle at the top like if its available why not hold on to that instead but whatever. i dont really have complaints lol. the first stop the doors opened on the other side so i couldnt move but the next stop they opened my side so we got off and switched to normal trains but he went back on the express. and shes like you were so lucky and saying its like a shoujo manga XD

so i had a fun interesting night with lots of laughing ^_^

but on monday i had a JOB INTERVIEW at the kawaii monster cafe but hahahahaha yeah didnt go so well. i couldnt really understand anything n yeah. but i just applied there cuz why not? but i expected something like this would happen oh well 

afterwards ate sushi with da friends again cuz one of them is leaving back to their country

but we did cosplay purikura!!!! at least us girls

i really like kabuki its very interesting. i went by myself but w/e not like you talk to ppl during the show

afterwards bought some souvenirs

bought a folder of gachapin and i think muku or w/e as kabuki pplz. this is the play a i really REALLY wanna see but idk when they will play it. and there was also a snoopy kabuki keychain with birhdates on them n i decided to buy one even though its like 850 yen only cuz like srsly where else can u buy something like that right?  plus i like comics like that so yea 

and then the next day i was friggin exhausted like im out of stamina but my friend wanted to hang n i told him i would so im like uuuuuggghhhhh

so i wanted to go back to ikebukuro to buy my otome trash and during lunch time i wanted to eat at burger king cuz i wanted to try the aka samurai burger

i bought the chicken one cuz its like 200 yen cheaper than the regular beef one??

anyways, we went along the street where all my otome trash is and i was in HEAVEN

i bought another kazama keychain and there was a toki no kizuna button and ayato rubber strap for 50 yen each so i bought those too. i guess i'll give brooke the ayato strap cuz thats her fav

but they didnt have any art books which is what i really wanted. like last time they had a crapload of books for like 600-800 yen and thats a really good deal. but this time they had it at a normal-ish price like $19 but eeehhhhh. next time

but this one store had a starry game game that came with the game, an extra game/movie thing, drama cd, booklet, 3 keychains, psp skin, and earphones all for $12 so OBVIOUSLY i had to buy it!

 like thats too good of a deal to just ignore. i'd rather have starry sky in summer? i think instead of the spring version(cuz theres an english fan translation out but i still havent played it but..) but not for the others but idk. this is the most popular i guess. they had it for the autumn? version too but cuz its based off 'horoscope signs' those guys i'm not 'compatible' with lol.

i still havent played it yet cuz i just dont have time but maybe tonight idk

then thursday was my first relaxing day in like a week i was so dead. but i still had to go out n buy groceries :/

n i skyped with paul n we played escape games which i still need to finish

then yesterday i went to comiket!

i met my other japanese friend from the internet but yeah. srry if this is mean but he looked like an otaku lol. but he was nice. too bad he was wearing CROCS. ok i just dont understand how ppl wear those like its no big deal here. grossss

once we got to the place there were sooo maannnyyy peopleeee!!!

and like we came LATE

like it starts at 10 but we got there a bit before 2 n theres still tons of ppl.

lots of otakus. you'd see some cool/normal looking ppl here n there but ehh..

and walking past the hentai section. ew you see what type of ppl draw this stuff and its all like 40 year old men.

but since the comic market is mostly, if nt all, fan made stuff, idc for it so didnt buy anything. i just went for the experience and it was fun!

i was looking for hakuouki stuff but by the time i found the area is was getting close to closing time so most booths were already closed but some had stuff still

there were also these final fantasy stitch artwork? i guess to call it. with the needle n tread you know? but yeah it was neat n i told the ppl sugoiii and they said i had pretty eyes XD

anyways i waned to take pics of cosplayers and it was so fun!!! seeing ppl dressed as characters i like u_u

and thank god i found hakuouki cosplayers!!! thats what i was hoping!! right when i saw this guy i like jumped in front of him and asked if i can take a picture. then i told him kazama is my favorite XD

hijikata n chizuru were there with him but i didnt pay attention to chizuru n hijikata was like DRENCHED in sweat so uhhh otherwise id take a group pic

and saw this guy cosplaying chun li lol!!

 i think hes kinda famous? i feel like ive seen him before and when i showed a pic to my friends theyre like 'i know him!'

he was amazing

and he looked at me!!

afterwards me n my friend went to akihabara n he took me to this huge store that somehow ive never even noticed before? but it was really cool and there were dangan ronpa keychains for 50 yen each so i HAD to buy it!! i bought 5 LOL but its only 250 yen total! thats such a good deal!!! they had togami too for 50 yen but i didnt buy it IDK WHY i shouldve cuz hes kinda important and hes one of the few glasses characters that dont get on my nerves

and we ate ramen for dinner n it was delicious! have to eat there again one day

and went home cuz it started raining

n now i have no more plans thank goodness cuz i have reached my limit n need to recover my strength

holy crap i have a TON of pictures cuz ive been doing stuff this break instead of being lazy

on tuesday i took a walk again cuz idk its so fun!! i really like taking walk now and exploring the area. good exercise. but i walked for 2 hours so i was pretty pooped when i got home then my roommate was like wanna go to the fireworks festival? like i WANTED to, but i was really tired n had to shower afterwards but we'd get home late n i gotta get ready for the next day n blah so i decided not to at the last minute. she said the trains home were really crowded cuz i guess one of them just happen to "break" on the day of the festival so ppl were stuck. ha

anyways wednesday, i went to get my KABUKI ticket in ginza! im gonna watch kabuki again next tuesday u_u

but by myself.....

but its ok, its not like u really talk to ppl during the show n whatnot

afterwards, headed to ueno to hang out with some japanese girls i met at the school party. we went to the zoo n the museum!!

but before that ate some shaved ice. it was 600 yen which is EXPENSIVE cuz its usually around 300 something yen, but this used real fruit instead of flavored syrup and this was the yummiest one i had so far so i guuueesss its ok for the price

lucky pandas get special treatment inside an air conditioned rooms

most of the animals looked like they were dying from the heat. like they all were standing in the shade or sleeping

checking out more animals then we get to this bird area and these bird are like french kissing

the girls missed it so i showed the video and shes like its DEEP lol

after was seals and polar bears. lol this one seal seemed so bored like it kept swimming in the same path over n over. at least it gets the water cuz the polar bear was like in a different area from the water but obv it wanted to go for a swim cuz it kept walking back n forth along the door poor thing

alpacas or llamas or something n some other animal. i thought its funny so took a pic

then we went on this monorail to take us to the other side of the zoo

but we shouldve used it for the way back cuz that was lots of walking uphill...

went to nocturnal animal area and nice n cool with ac

and then saw pretty flamingos

then went to the reptile area.

there was a crocodile but it was in a bad area for picture taking so none of my photos looked good T_T

and idk why but this video of turtles swimming seems so soothing to me

and i also dont know why but for some reason i feel like i can relate to this frog somehow

there was some stain glass drawings. maybe a contest or something but they were pretty and some were actually really good.

there was this mutant turtle that just stayed like this for like 5 minutes straight w/o moving

then we saw hippos. theyre so cute but there were these annoying tourists prob from america cuz the way they sound(its really weird how you can tell where someones from by the way they talk. i never really noticed before besides like british or australian ppl) and they were being annoying like 'mr hippos come show me ur face blah blah'

and in this other nocturnal animal place they had naked mole rats lol

and idk whats up with this but this sheep/ram/goat kept rubbing its face in a zebras butt

and japan seems to be obsessed with this bird cuz like in quiz shows or puzzle games or something this bird ALWAYS appears n im like whats the name of that thing!!!??

and dang i still dont know. it was long bill. thats what i remember seeing but when i try to look it up i dont see this so whatever its still a mystery

anyways after we were done with the zoo we were hungry so ate at a nearby cafe but dude the food was a rip off. we got some pasta for almost 1200 yen for a really small amount. like the food in the zoo was cheaper if we ate there. so after i ate i was still hungry T_T

but went to this special exhibit museum about leaps in evolution. it was pretty cool

i think there was an exhibit about Cleopatra n mummies n stuff. id kinda rather see that but whatever

ok bad angle but this shark is like the size of a whale

too bad almost everything was in japanese so i couldnt read anything. well i could but i cant understand anything

and there was a how to origami too. i didnt take pics of the instructions cuz i doubt im ever gonna do it but the finished product. pretty unique

went to OTOMATE CAFE!!!!!!!

it has been my DREAM to go here for a LONG time!!! and it finally happen uvu

luckily claire sorta likes this stuff so she came with. its really confusing cuz you have to reserve seats before you go. and since ive never been here idk how crowded this place gets cuz theres a certain amount of rounds with limited people per round. and each round is 2 hours. so i kept checking the twitter for available seats but its confusing n idk so im like lets just go early n get whatever

we got there at 1 and got the 1:30 round yay! cuz i was starving! 

so we just chilled in nearby stores till it was time to go back

the staff were in cosplay. one girl was chizuru from hakuouki n another was im guessng some character from touken ranbu? n idk who the other person was suppose to be.

but yeah it really wasnt crowded. there were PLENTY of seats still. i need to go back with a group of ppl so i can sit in the special rooms covered with hakuouki or idk what else but ts amazing

also when you sit theres a lunch mat faced down and when u flip it over its a pic from a random series. but nobody puts their plates on it cuz you can use it as a poster.

yeah so the chicken stuffed me but im like i NEED to eat more things so i can get more coasters(lol) so i got desert. there were lots that i wanted but i decided to go with this bread thing from amnesia and i also got a drink from marginal 4 idk i just chose it cuz it looked good

the bread was this honey toast with berry ice cream n whipped cream based off ikki from amnesia and it was really good

and the drink was idk but it was really fruity its hard to describe the flavor but it wasnt a soda like my other drink. and there were these jelly things in the drink too

we were so full!!!! and we stayed for almost the 2 hour limit so before we left i took pictures of the restaurant lol

after that, since we were in akihabara, there was a store i really wanted to go to but always forget about it. but i remembered.

its called kotobukiya and i want to go mainly cuz this artist i really like has her artbooks there n i wanna check them out.

it was just a small display though but omg it was there right before my eyes

i got to hold it in my hands!! but its too expensive. yeah i'll buy it online used one of these days...

then we wanted to take cosplay purikura but couldnt find any purikura >_< whatever. theres one in shibuya for 100 yen!!! but not today..

but there was this maid cafe with these cutout things in front so i took a pic in one

and i have a job interview coming up for this monster cafe in harajuku n i have no idea what to wear cuz its but the 6% doki doki producer so its like crazy harajuku fashion so should i dress like that for my interview or look more professional?? idkkkk

i kinda wanted to stay away from typical beach nails but ehhh. i srsly had a block n no inspiration so w/e

anyways. friday was last day of skool n now im on summer break! for 2 weeks!!

so on saturday me n my friend went for sushi cuz our old classmate wanted to but he didnt show up cuz he "forgot" he had other plans... like wtf. so since he didnt show, our other friend didnt show so it was me my friend n ur guy friend

but whateever. we took purikura~ im glad these are able to send to gmail at least

there was an effect to change hair color but it didnt really work on me...

at the sushi place i always eat the salmon sushi cuz its my new fav and had a parfait too

afterwards we went to animate and they had this thing for the new hakuouki game. i took the pic with snapchats camera n ehhh not good quality. but cuz in japan cameras make loud shutter sounds for taking pics cuz theres lots of pervs here so they cant sneak a panty shot but for some reason when i take pics with snapchat it doesnt make sounds lol so i can be sneaky

and we had to look at the yaoi section n try to find intense looking ones

well this is ok but some were omgg

and theres the adult section n theres ppl that actually check that area out!! its always older men though >_>

oh and i also bought new rings at forever 21 cuz i was in love.

anyways. sunday i met up with my japanese friend yusuke again and we went to yoyogi park together cuz i told him i like the outdoors n stuff now

and i have been BLESSED this summer for not really getting bug bites. i guess its cuz i been living in japan for a while so my scent isnt foreign anymore??? idk but usually when i come here for vacation i go outside for 10 minutes n get EATEN ALIVE but i can walk all day n not get any!!!

but yeah it was REALLY hot but it was nice in the shade at least. i like the bug sounds

after walking for a while we stopped at this food area to get some shaved ice

which was super yummy!

 after i ate that i was still hungry so i bought some takoyaki too

 then walk around more. i wanted to take pics of the bugs but we couldnt find any. he found some of the shells of the bugs but not the living ones cuz they were prob high up in the trees

a pond. lots of ppl were tanning on the benches near here

afterwards i wanted to go to meiji shrine which was right next to the park cuz i dont think ive gone there before

like there were more tourists there than japanese. i felt like a tourist cuz i took a lot of pics XD

luckily this area wasnt really hot cuz it was really shady from the trees.

heres some sake barrels that have been offered to the shrine from i guess all the sake companies in japan? or something like that

when we got to the shrine i bought a fortune but it wasnt like the 'you got good/bad luck' type i wanted. it was more 'fortune cookie' type of fortune. eh whatever

then we did the coin toss and prayer thing

and i take a picture of these wishes. i forgot what theyre called

afterwards we ate ice cream. i got vanilla and he got tofu ice cream!! which reminds me i had tofu ice cream but its really weird cuz it DOES taste like tofu....but its ice cream??

anyways afterwards we walked around the quieter area of harajuku and came to a small garden and strolled past there quickly. but i was really tired so we called it a day after that and went home

today im just taking it easy and will take a walk soon.

i also will see kabuki again over my break. cant wait ^_^
